Retreats

Middle School Retreats- These retreats are meant for grades 6-8. (Also some presentations can be made into full day retreats)

  • Heroes and Idols– This retreat looks at the difference between a hero and an idol, who are some of the young people’s heroes, what it takes to be a hero, along with Biblical heroes, and how we all can be heroes in today’s world.
  • Jesus- This retreat allows young people in enter into who Jesus was on earth, who is to the Church and who is to each of them individually.

High School Retreats– These retreats are meant for Grades 9 and up. (Also some presentations can be made into full day retreats)

  • Catholicism- This retreat looks at what it means to be Catholic, where we came from, who we are as a community of believers, how we tend to be portrayed in today’s world, and what being Catholic means to the young people.
  • Respect, Dignity, and Prayer– This retreat looks at how we respect each other, what the words “Respect” and “Dignity” mean, how to put it into action, as well as how prayer works in our life and what it means to the young people.
  • Saints-This retreat can be build around any number of saints. It looks at Saints in general, what it takes to be a Saint, who each saint was and gives the young people time to learn about each saint through videos, activities and small group sharing.
  • The Blessed Mother- This retreat looks at the Blessed Mother in a number a different ways: her life on earth, how she effected the ministry and life of Jesus and his Disciples, how she effected the early Church; as well as how she effected the world through her apparitions. This retreat uses videos, artwork, scripture, and discussion to open up the world of the Blessed Mother to young people.

Confirmation Preparation Retreat: Footsteps on the Journey

This retreat looks at where they are on their faith journey, different forms of prayer, the importance of the Holy Spirit, mercy and forgiveness, along with how they want to continue to nurture their faith post Confirmation. The retreat is best done in a long one day event, but can be worked to fit the needs of a specific parish or group.
